In other news, the council backed a cafe or other retailer for the downtown train depot, agreed to spend $680,000 putting solar panels on the new downtown parking garage, and voted to keep Tim Foley as the operator at Cuesta Tennis Center. A good time was had by all.

It's a reference to Clear Channel's arguing that because they spun off their entertainment division, we shouldn't mention their name anymore in conjunction with the Shoreline case.
The idea of solar panels over all parking lots is a mini-generation idea I hope sweeps the country.
Just think of the nation-wide acreage of parking lots at WalMarts etc etc. Cars would be protected from the sun. Electricity would be most generated on the hot sunny afternoons of peak demand.
Both San Diego & Sacramento are hip to this clever & far-sighted micro-generation idea.
