The mystery of the headless Los Altos Hills cows reads like a Scooby Doo episode in reverse. The vagrants terrorizing the local populace for no apparent reason are teenagers, while the motley crue of detectives who implausibly solve the case are adults.Hard to say this story isn't still amusing, but aren't we forgetting who the real criminals are?

Well, I'm glad the beleaguered town of Los Altos Hills finally brought those young ELF-ish cow thieves to justice. Imagine, the cruelty they inflicted upon the plywood animals. Just 'cause they're plywood, doesn't mean they're not animals, after all. And, oh, the cruel irony of making them pay into the fund they were undermining. Too bad the cows were much more fun to look at with missing heads and sheriff's wanted signs on them.
