Rose-colored cataracts in Los Altos

I love playgrounds as much as the next guy. I even campaigned for student body president in college on a platform of "No homework, longer recess," and promised to install a twisty slide if elected. (I wasn't). I'm just not sure that the fact that Los Altos is getting some new playground equipment is one of the biggest stories of the coming year.

Thank you for continually pointing out what idiots the folks at our local newspapers are (well everyone since our favorite journalist resigned last summer). Its good work, though, almost as difficult as hosting the daily show (just replay C-Span clips of stupid gov't officials and sit there). The material writes itself, though I'm happy someone is calling these self-satisfied jerks out.

On the other hand, let's be honest, you and I both remember exactly when Bullis unveiled the new playgrounds for the lower and upper grades.

True. But then again we were students there. We were about 10 years old and even then I wouldn't have expected it to make the local papers - even the Town Crier!
